AAFA Briefing on Responsible Recruitment in Cambodia

Join us for a webinar briefing on a U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded project called Bong Pheak
Audience: AAFA Members only

Description:
Join us for a webinar briefing on a U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded project called Bong Pheak, a platform for responsible recruitment of workers in Cambodia.  In its first year of operation, Bong Pheak has attracted over 200,000 Facebook followers and 25,000 users per month. Bon Pheak has helped over 1000 workers find formal employment.  Now Bong Pheak is ready to scale and Winrock (the USAID contractor running the project) would like to engage the apparel industry to make this happen.  Join us to hear how Bong Pheak can help your suppliers find great workers, while also ensuring those workers find responsible employers.

AAFA and USAID have established a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote responsible employment in Cambodia while reducing instances of forced labor and human trafficking. As USAID’s primary implementing partner for countering human trafficking in Cambodia, Winrock is leading numerous efforts throughout Cambodia to prevent trafficking, protect victims, and punish offenders.

Speakers:
Steve Brunn, Senior Director of Private Sector Partnerships at Winrock and former Director of Responsible Sourcing at Target
Nate Herman, Senior Vice President, Supply Chain, American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA)
