AAFA Urges Congress to Approve Shipping Reform

AAFA joined over 150 other organization to urge Congress to approve ocean shipping reform legislation. The bipartisan Ocean Shipping Reform Act of 2021 (OSRA 21) (H.R. 4996) would require the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) to establish/enforce rules that would prevent the next shipping crisis, including minimum service requirements for shippers, rules against contract breaches, and rules barring excessive and unjust detention and demurrage fees.
