Description:

The Tent Partnership for Refugees is publishing new research in partnership with Verité, looking at how businesses can promote inclusive supply chains by analyzing why and how companies should incorporate refugees into their supply chains. Tent will host a private briefing for the members of the American Apparel and Footwear Association and the Fair Labor Association on October 19 (TBC) to provide members with practical advice on how companies can proactively mitigate against human rights violations related to refugee forced labor. The presentation will include presentations from Tent and Verité on the research, highlighting practical takeaways from the report that companies can implement to address the risk of refugee forced labor in their supply chains, including mapping out the overlap of refugees and their suppliers, assessing the risk, and adapting due diligence processes. The briefing will also include the participation of H&M, who will share its experience of working closely with the FLA and other industry groups and retailers in Turkey to advocate for refugees' right to work, and how it developed a program for helping its suppliers responsibly hire refugees in Turkey. The briefing will include time for a Q&A session.

Call information will be provided in the "Notes" section of your registration confirmation.
