Description:

GoodWeave facilitated a multi-stakeholder engagement in collaboration with Rights Lab, University of Nottingham and the Bangladesh Labour Foundation - BLF to address child and forced labor in the hidden tiers of supply chains in Dhaka on July 13th, 2025. The event included a presentation of findings from our report released earlier this year, "Modern Slavery and Child Labour in Bangladesh’s Garment Sector: Documenting Risks and Informing Solutions." This was followed by a discussion on recommendations from the report and the Bangladesh Labour Law Reform Commission, along with working group sessions to prioritize action.

GoodWeave’s Senior Director of Programs, Anne-Laure Henry-Gréard; Program Officer for South Asia, Vinti Singal; and Director of Advocacy and Communications, Sadikshya Nepal conducted the convening in Bangladesh where the stakeholders workshopped next steps to address child and forced labor in the hidden tiers of the RMG supply chain in Bangladesh.

Speaker:

Anne-Laure Henry-Gréard, Senior Director of Programs, GoodWeave International
