Audience:
Open industry. All apparel and footwear industry professionals, regardless of AAFA membership, are encouraged to participate.
Description:
Sustainability and ESG regulations are changing faster than most organizations can keep up with. Apparel and footwear companies now face expanding EPR laws, new climate‑reporting rules such as California’s SB 253 and SB 261, increasing expectations for GHG accounting, and stricter due‑diligence and supply chain documentation requirements. In this session, BSI Consulting experts will break down these developments and explain which regulations deserve your attention now.
This webinar will give attendees a clear, practical overview of the key rules affecting the industry, along with steps to reduce compliance risk and prepare for upcoming obligations, including those expected to take effect in 2027 and beyond. Participants will walk away knowing what to track, how to prioritize resources, and how to integrate sustainability and ESG requirements into everyday operations.
Attendees of this webinar will learn:
- To identify regulatory trends shaping ESG and sustainability expectations for apparel and footwear companies.
- To evaluate upcoming obligations and understand how they may influence reporting, data needs, and operational risk.
- How to apply practical approaches to strengthen internal readiness, improve data quality, and streamline compliance across functions.
