Join AAFA as the Product Safety & Compliance Seminar returns to Long Beach, CA! The seminar is held in conjunction with AAFA's Social Responsibility Committee and Environmental Committee Meetings, kicking off with a Networking Happy Hour on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, followed by the full-day Seminar on Wednesday, February 8 at the Westin Long Beach. Separate registration is required for the committee meetings.
All apparel and footwear industry professionals, regardless of AAFA membership, are encouraged to participate. Product safety, compliance, regulation, quality assurance, green chemistry, and chemical management professionals, and beyond are invited to join us. This program is closed to press attendance and coverage.
Product safety, quality, and compliance have grown more complex across the supply chain as new materials and innovation are incorporated into production. Addressing regulations from the federal level down to the state and county level, this program supports the development of a comprehensive risk-based approach to unify global operations with legislative standards across compliance systems and protocols. Co-located with this seminar, AAFA’s Environmental and Social Responsibility Committee meetings provide attending members with expanded resources and alignment.
This event is a crucial part of AAFA’s focus on galvanizing the industry to build upon strong supply chain and sourcing commitments to result in safe products so that members, consumers, workers, and the environment will thrive.

Environmental & Social Responsibility Committee Meetings
The Social Responsibility Committee will meet in the morning of Tuesday, February 7, followed by a joint working lunch with the Environmental Committee at 12:30 PM PT. The Environmental Committee Meeting will conclude at 5:30 PM PT. Separate registration is required for each meeting. Attendees of both committee meetings are welcome to attend the Product Safety Networking Happy Hour that evening! Participation in AAFA Committee Meetings is limited to AAFA members only.
